Please Do Not Encourage This Trader
Under ‘normal’ circumstances, various vendors sell items at the Kings Delph layby- however we are not under normal circumstances.
Some ‘person;’ has set up a stall in the layby – trying their luck – I dare say to make a shilling or two…..but this is not legal under the current situation, I understand that FDC have been made aware.
We have an excellent garden centre at Westfield Nurseries who will deliver to your driveway – why not use them please.

Just In Case You’re Thinking of London
Dear Mr Gerstner,
Our services are only for essential journeys. Our message to everyone else is continue to stay at home this bank holiday, don’t travel, save lives.
The number of people using Tube and rail services has fallen dramatically by around 95% and the number of people using buses by around 85%. This is important to stop the spread of coronavirus.
It is vital that everyone continues not to travel unless their journey is essential, and does not return to the transport network.
Our staff are working hard to support the NHS and protect all Londoners. Please help them and continue to follow the instructions not to travel for as long as it takes to defeat coronavirus.
Stay at home. Don’t travel. Save lives.

Farewell to a very good friend of ours.
Our very good friend Bob Stincombe died last week aged 89 – I had known Bob for over 45 years, he was an exceptional Chief Engineer and mentor. It is so unfortunate that Connie & I can not attend the funeral tomorrow (Thursday), wife Margaret is also not very well at this time.
Our thoughts will be with Bob’s family tomorrow.

As with all my good seafaring friends (shipmates) I always arrange in consultation with the family an Anchor Wreath (similar to the one below)

FDC Planning Being Streamed Live On YouTube – Update
Although the link provided did not work (for me) or for many others – Just put Fenland Council in search box…. I got in because I have a YouTube account (sign in) and then subscribe to the meeting and I got in… There was over 21 people viewing when I looked.
Later it went to 30+ and by the conclusion at 14:12 there were 42 viewers.
Tomorrow at 1pm there will be another Planning Meeting at FDC on the same platform – YouTube.
The future has arrived.

Anyone who is showing COVID-19 symptoms, has been diagnosed with the virus or has someone in their household exhibiting signs of the virus should continue to stay at home.
