The bracket broke and the instrument has been taken away, also to be recalibrated and probably re-sited in a new location (still to be decided by FDC)

Here we are ‘again’ crumbs off the plate maybe if we’re lucky.
Peterborough must have some better influence than we here in Fenland I am sorry to say.
Many are trying their very best to get the Manor Project moving forward and much has and will need still to be done.
Looking very much like ‘we’ will have to borrow money for the project…..unless a generous benefactor comes along.
The Peterborough Sports Quarter, is being ‘partly’ funded by this government grant.

I have sent my apologies, first time in many years I will not be attending.
Rural CAB AGM who do wonderful work for our community in Whittlesey and have recovered, 10’s of £Thousands in benefits that many were unaware they were entitled too.
I understand there will be representation from Whittlesey (Cllr Barry Wainwright),

‘Someone’ either doesn’t care or is prepared to pay, One vehicle has now been ticketed on 3 occasions…..

In response to your concerns, we have been back out and about today, where we:
🚗Carried out speed checks along London Road in Chatteris, where, fortunately, no speeding was identified
🚗Issued three tickets to cars parked illegally in St Mary’s Street and Falcon Lane in Whittlesey.
Have an issue you would like to raise with us? Our next community meetings are:
➡️Between 3pm and 4pm, on Friday (28 November), at Whittlesey Library
If you are unable to make these, you can keep an eye on our website for future meeting dates.
(HMO – Houses of Multiple Occupany).
We provide a service to local authorities being used to find unlicensed HMOs and bring empty homes back into use.
Earlier this month, data from our service secured a £58,000 fine and a criminal conviction for a landlord in Essex renting an illegal HMO. Back in the summer, we identified 6 unlicensed HMOs and 5 empty homes for a semi-rural local authority in Suffolk. Our revolutionary service was also showcased on BBC One’s ‘For Rent: Rooms Under the Radar’ programme.

Thank you to those who sent me their best wishes.
I am back home and recovering, fortunately nothing over major, but bashed and bruised.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will be having investigations and possible surgery at Papworth Hospital Cambridge.
I will not be updating this Web-Blog certainly for tomorrow and depending on my recovery, will review when I know I’m feeling better.

Hello Roy
2025 Crime and Community Survey
Today sees the launch of our annual survey looking at your experience of crime and your connection to your local community. The data from the survey goes into a report which we publish on the website, and use to help prioritise our work.
The survey takes about ten minutes to complete, and if you can spare the time, we really hope that you will make your views known to us – it really is appreciated! The survey will close on 1 December 2026.

There are serious concerns that the present committee may not carry on for another year?
1 very dedicated and 6 supporters can not year on year deliver this wonderful event for Whittlesey.
It is realy time for some of those who enjoy events like these to come and help please.
We in Whittlesey have the wonderful ‘Christmas Extravaganza’ run and supported by only 7 people on their committee ( I am a committee member).
