Another Negative Statistic For NQS

Further to my earlier posting on The New Queen Street Surgey CQC Rating –
(Care Quality Commission) which stated ‘Requires Improvement Overall’
Read my previous report Click Here

Now we read in another local media that New Queen Street has come in 6th overall place,
in the worst rated Doctors Surgeries within the Peterborough area.

The question that I will be asking is –
What are they doing about these bad reports and how will they address them.

The general feedback I have had and also speaking of my personal experience is that the Nurses at NQS have done a fantastic job throughout and continue to give excellent service to patients.

Whittlesey Will (Hopefully) Be Getting Air Quality Monitor.

At present there are a number of ‘Diffusion Tubes’
(Look up on YouTube©) placed around Whittlesey and other Fenland Towns, they measure mainly Nitrogen Dioxide.

At long last Whittlesey will be getting something more up-to-date and able to measure PM’s (particulate matter). I understand that FDC are still looking where to locate the Air Quaily Monitor. Funding was addressed by Cllr Boden at the last full FDC Council meeting.

KD X – Update From CCC

A message from the King’s Dyke project team:

The surfacing works have now been completed along the A605 at the eastern tie-in, which has allowed the temporary traffic lights to be removed – thank you for your patience. This completes the surfacing works for all the mainline A605 (pictured right).

We are now concentrating on constructing the new access towards Forterra from the eastern roundabout. The embankment, which crosses over the old A605, is currently being constructed (pictured left).

Traffic lights will be required again in September along the old A605 near Funthams Lane, however this is being phased in a way that will not affect traffic travelling on the A605.

All Change – How Health Service Are Provided Locally

Changes to how Health Service are provided locally.

Most people are not interested in these ‘upper tiers’ of governance, and only ‘wish’ to been seen by someone in a timely way.
COVID (I am not making excuses) has changed the way many organisations are run and delivered.

Cambridgeshire was run and governed by something called the CCG, Clinical Commissioning Group – they held the budget for all health services.

From the 01st July the CCG no longer operates and a new organisation called
ICS (Integrated Care System).

You can find out everything at their website ; https://www.cpics.org.uk/

Cambs NHW Executive Committee – Meeting

Both myself and Robin Sutton represent Whittlesey on this committee and have done so for many years. Robin is chairman of this group and I represent as chairman of Whittlesey NHW.
We had a very good presentation by ‘Crimestoppers’ who are very under-represented in Cambs.
You can contact Crimestoppers 24/7 – 365 days of the year and can remain anonymous when reporting any crime.
