I am, Whittlesey Town Council are, along with thousands of individuals, groups, organisations and NGO’s.

Yesterday I posted on this web-blog on behalf of our NHW Member, who reported it to FDC, what can I say but thank you – today (09:00) – Sunday here is our Street Cleaner having a go at removing the horrid black grease, which unknown ‘Yob(s)’ smeared over it.

It was ‘only’ a matter of time before ‘our’ newly installed Heritage Walk Benches were to be vandalised…..a fantastic project lead by Cllr Dee Laws and Whittlesey Town Council, almost complete now with signage (more to follow).

This morning one of our NHW members spotted the ‘Bench’ in St Mary’s Church Yard – well covered in ‘Grease’ – who caries a tin of grease around with them.

As I’ve said before – I am not allowed though the PC (political correctness) of this world even to ‘think’ who may have done the stupid act.
It has been reported and hopefully will be addressed.

I am very sorry to to informed that ex Councillor and friend Ralph Butcher has passed away this morning.

Wetlands are a low-cost, natural solution to water recycling. An acre of wetland can clean around 700,000 litres of water a day, before returning it back to our rivers.
