If there are no bookings the Councillors will not attend the Office.
If you wish to have a meeting – you should pre-book a slot by calling the WTC Office by

Our ‘pet’ tortoises have not done so well this year, too hot, too cold and too dry, they have not put on much weight at all! – normally a few grams but this year hardly anything – hopefully they have enough in storage for their long hibernation which begins today.
A quick check over – a very light dusting of virgin olive oil – and in their box(s) until next spring.

Kids in sport stay out of court? — — (a campaign in New Zealand)
An excellent turn out of individuals and those representing various groups in our town.
19 people, including 5 Whittlesey Councillors.
The meeting organised by Mr Robert Windle was an open session for everyone to have an input as to what they wanted the Manor area to become/improved.
Until an application for funding which is being presented to the Combined Authority it would be unfair to go into too much detail at this time (you should maybe have been at the meeting) once the minutes have been agreed, there maybe some more information coming.
Great emphasis by everyone was to encourage young people to get involved.
A very diverse and knowledge base of attendee’s had many idea’s on how the area can and could be improved.
I hope that given the very positive meeting held, that the momentum can carry on.
The previously arranged meeting had to be cancelled due to the Queen passing away.
Re-schedualled for this evening 19:00 at the meeting room Manor Centre (main building)
Any one or group(s) interested are very welcome to come along to thisfirst meeting.
My apologies the Action Day is tomorrow – Wednesday.
Long standing ex businessman and resident Peter Baxter is fed up with issues concerning the traffic and HGV’s along the A605 transiting Whittlesey.
I have promoted and supported Peter on his campaign for many years and he has decided that enough is enough – His belief that Councillors and Authorities are doing little or nothing to address the concerns of not only himself but a great number of residents.
Peter is well aware from my many hours of conversations with him of how the ‘system’ works and as local Town Councillors (myself included) our
ability is the same as his –
Lobbying upwards to our Senior County Councillors and MP.
So tomorrow (Tuesday) Peter is I understand planning with some other residents from the juction of Halcroft Road to Snoots Road to have them park their cars (legally) at strategic points along the road. What effect this may have I don’t know.
He again I understand will be getting much wider publicity on this campaign.
I will have a look myself tomorrow morning…
