The library was quite busy with the Monday Whittlesey Walkers enjoying a coffee at the end of their walk.
I sat with PCSO Dan for most of his session and was the only person there with him, NHW Secretary Robin Sutton passed by.
I appreciate ‘some’ Councillors work and can not attend, but I was the only Councillor there….
I brought to his attention ALL the concerns and issues you have raised….some not police related but he can have them anyway.
As usual it depends on Police resources…..
Afterwards, I went to Pondersbridge to investigate a reported ‘vandalised Bus-Shelter….
Do you have a concern you would like to talk to your neighbourhood officers about? Or perhaps you would like to hear about the work we have been doing?
If you answered yes to the above, then come along to our community meeting!
The details are:
📍 Whittlesey Library
⏰ 11am until 12pm
🗓️ Monday, 27 October
If you are unable to make it, you can keep an eye out on here or our website
for upcoming events.
Do you know what anti-social behaviour (ASB) is?
There are many different issues that can be categorised as ASB, such as:
🗣️Rowdy or inconsiderate behaviour
💊Littering or drugs paraphernalia
🍻Street drinking
Tackling ASB is a priority for many of our neighbourhood teams, but they can’t do it without your help!
If you do see us out and about, then do come and say hi. Talking to us face-to-face is a great way to pass on your concerns. Alternatively, any information about ASB can be reported to us online.
You can find out more about the work your neighbourhood team have been doing, as well as upcoming community meetings, on our website.

FYI…
One of my ‘many’ claims to fame! – Is that I’ve been very fortuante to have travelled to over 100 countries, (I believe 116) in my life.
Not all ‘Sea’ related and many wonderful travels in the UK.

I am but a poor demoted ‘Litterpicker’ these days, however having attended this weeks Emergency General Meeting, I have to comment and agree with Michael W, in that in the past few years, many of the group have become ‘very unhappy’ with how things are run and its direction.
I am no longer (and do not wish to be) part of their committee, I was chairman for 6 or 7 years when ‘we appeared’ to be a much happier and focused group, which not only cleared up ‘Tons’ of Litter & Rubbish, but delievred some ‘cracking’ Gateway projects most of which are still here today.
I am not even going into the current and what appears forward issues with some of the group (right or wrong) …. but what I/we must not forget – We are ALL Volunteers.
Previous post today re Platinum Wood and planting of the doffodils…
Here is just one occasion when Whittlesey StreetPriders planted over 250,000 daffodils in our area over a 5 year period, all sponsored by local businesses.
(NO Council money involved).
So come spring when you see these daffodils ‘most’ not all are Whittlesey StreetPride,
in HAPPY DAYS….

Below just ‘some’ of the dozens/hundreds of pictures of HAPPY StreetPriding Days….
