Two vehicles ‘abandoned’ in Whittlesey appear to be so difficult for the authorities to remove, having been reported to the DVLA and FDC on more than one occasion – they remain in situ.

Normally these issues are dealt with in a timely way – not on this occasion.
We recently toured 7 Islands of the Inner Hebrides….amazing flora and only met 2 indigenous islanders…everyone else came from the mainland – one being as one of my previous posts the Chief of the Clan Maclean…but no mention of the dreaded B….xit at all.

I was extremely pleased that over 75% of those attending (and there were a few) found out about this meeting/consultation via this/my web-blog…..
I am also pleased to say, Cllr’s Dorling, Wicks, Bristow and Davies were there between 3pm and 5pm, the Library staff attempted to close the library at 5pm, even though the event was advertised to run until 8pm…..after some confusion the Library staff decided on advice to remain open and would be sending someone from Wisbech to stay until 8pm – again miscommunication.
There were consultants from the Combined Authority running the event…..although Whittlesey/Fenland only features in a somewhat minor part of the overall scheme.
I spoke at length with the lead consultant #Andrew# about the many challenges Whittlesey is and has been experiencing for decades.

is what I both questioned and made the consultants aware of…..What did YOUR councillor ask!!!!!…. if they of course attended.

A series of consultation events have been announced across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for members of the public to have their say on the future of the area’s transport network to 2050.
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s Local Transport Plan (LTP) will set out an ambitious, challenging and exciting strategy for a world-class, integrated transport network, which addresses current and anticipated future pressures on infrastructure, while also supporting housing and economic growth. It aims to bring forward a step-change in how people travel across the area.

 Police are urging members of the public to take precautions after 14 burglaries have taken place in Wisbech over the last two months.Intruders have forced rear doors and windows or smashed windows and ransacked the properties, stealing jewellery, laptops, iPhones, bank cards and cash.Detective Sergeant Shishminder Thind said: “Burglary is a priority for the force and we are using all tactics available to us to catch those responsible for these offences. “In some instances offenders have forced entry but we have also seen a number of offences where entry has been made through unlocked patio doors and windows.
