We Are In This Together – Yes We Did Clap & Whistle

Connie & I along with a few neighbours did go out and ‘Clap’ in support of our NHS and many others involved in the current pandemic….I could hear further around many others joining in….

My fresh air yesterday was a short run on my ‘mobility truck’ along Blackbush Drove – we in general here in Whittlesey & Villages are never far away from fields and countryside.
I only came across 4 other people walking and we kept at a very safe distance.

Please as we keep getting advised – best stay away from others at present…..

Protect yourself

1) Watch out for scam messages
Don’t click on the links or attachments in suspicious emails, and never respond to unsolicited messages and calls that ask for your personal or financial details.

2) Shopping online:
If you’re making a purchase from a company or person you don’t know and trust, carry out some research first, and ask a friend or family member for advice before completing the purchase. If you decide to go ahead with the purchase, use a credit card if you have one, as most major credit card providers insure online purchases.

I Suppose It Had To Happen

The Kings Dyke crossing has to be the ‘most’ jinked projects in the country.
I am not apportioning any fault – it is purely circumstances – the Covid-19 pandemic has now caused prep work due to start next month to be postponed.
On this occasion I fully endorse Cambs CC/PCC to protect workers under the current situation.
At one point I was considering running a lottery on when the project would start and when completed….

We Are In This Together – CCC Leader Cllr Steve Count

Resident recently wrote to CCC leader Steve Count…
His reply below…

The County Council is leading on the Strategic co-ordination group and we issue a daily briefing to the media. Our county council website www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk is also updated regularly as information changes. There are also messages coming out from other organisations such as FDC and from individuals such as myself on behalf of CCC to either enhance the core messages or add to them in the context of their specific areas of responsibility. It would be useful if your facebook site could re-broadcast those trusted messages. Apart from our site for some localised information the government web site, NHS England and Public Health England are key go to places for information.
