Dithering, too little, too Late Government….
Whilst ‘we’ can all have the answers after the events, it just seems that our ‘dithering’ Governement (lead by scientific advice) now decide it will be mandatory to wear ‘Face Covering’ in shops etc. I/we have being doing so since Mid-March.
Countries with very low infection and death rates – Thailand/Malaysia/Vietnam have had these protocols in place from the very beginning.
How the ‘experts’ have gradually changed their minds over the months and weeks.
A Government with some very difficult situations to deal with – but with all the ‘Experts’ always seem Not to have – What we simple people have – Common Sense.
Of course they could always use my (NOT) favourite politician favourite phrase…
‘Lessons must be learnt’ – Good old Dave C…
March 12: Deputy chief medical officer Dr Jenny Harries: ‘For the average member of the public walking down a street, it is not a good idea… in fact, you can actually trap the virus in the mask and start breathing it in.’

Councils Should ‘Think’ Carefully over Road Signage
Reports that several councils are to review ‘Road-Signage’ – Names which could ‘now’ seem inappropriate. Whilst I said previously I am not commenting for or against this – now hot topic –
There are some very serious implications on changing Road Names.
Just list a few….Driving Licence, all sorts of Government forms, Online registrations, Passwords linked with addresses….would all need to be changed – and as usual there would be a cost involved to the individual(s) – not just replacing the actual sign itself.
I wonder if my own sign ‘Ashline Grove’ may seem inappropriate or offensive to anyone!

It has been quiet for a few days –
Have things started to settle for a day or two, I doubt, there is questions being asked about road signs – and the cost of replacing some that after over a hundred years now ‘seem’ inappropriate – I am not taking sides on this one…
However I did pay my respects at the surreal war memorials at Plymouth Hoe, the picture is of the more recently installed Merchant Navy Memorial.
