My wife, Connie, most years plants up some ‘Sunflower seeds’ this year has been exceptional, she has a flowering ‘seed’ that is just 9 foot tall ….
With all the be-moaning on social media – I do not subscribe as you know – but I have others that monitor for me….
Here is a ‘Very Welcome To Whittlesey’ anyone coming into our town will see hanging baskets, flower trough’s and a vast array of colour – nice and thanks to everyone who is involved – and nearly litter free….not the be-moaners….stay on anti-scocial media….
I have received a number of comments re – KD New Update and will respond by Monday.
Several have contacted me this morning re ‘Face Coverings’ and they inform me that the majority of people are adhearing to the Governments advice – That would be a very good start – let us hope it remains so…
| Dear Roy We write to you today 24th July 2020 to advise you of the fear of a rise in Disability Hate Crime, especially as new legislation about face coverings comes into effect today across England. There has been a big increase during Covid-19 of targeted attacks on disabled people. They have been verbally abused, spat at and in some instances physically attacked. For example, one disabled passenger on public transport, who cannot wear a face covering, was targeted by another passenger, who shouted: “This person hasn’t got a mask. This person is trying to infect us. They are trying to kill us.” We have posted an article on our website and we ask you to share this to your distribution lists in the hope that by raising awareness and promoting compassion and respect, that we have together highlighted this issue in our communities. Well there has been a lot of activity in the past 6 months at our Railway Station.
New waiting area’s,
New CCTV,
New Ticketing Machine,
New Cycle Rack,
New Bins.
New Interactive Info Screen.
Now complete New Lighting, we were told for ‘years’ that the ‘power supply’ wasn’t up to installing new lighting – well somone has found some…..(Power & Electricity) and it looks good and is in operation now……
