Shocked & Some Good News

Whilst we are living in extraordinary times since March this year and many if not most are still very concerned on what the future holds.

The campaign for our environment needs to carry on, if not the world with have even more issues and problems.
I have been promoting (and I am guilty) of better education and taxes on both ‘plastic and waste’ and have been lobbying for many years.

I did find time last night to watch ‘The War on Plastic’ – BBC 9pm (Tuesday) – was truely shocking in what is happening here in our country – Can view on catch-up

On a more positive note – this and previous governments are somewhat ‘slow’ in making decisions – that said the ‘Tax’ on Plastic Bags is to double to 10p – remember there is a VAT element to this tax (currently 0.83p on the 5p bag) and therefor the government makes money as well – take note MP Steve Barclay who was unaware of this when I questioned him.

Update On Launch Fenland Youth Radio….

My thanks to RW who has sent the following….

Its going to be a great day today (Tuesday) as the Mayor of Whittlesey Cllr David Mason will official launch the new Studios of Fenland Youth Radio. This great addition to the community has been recently broadcasting on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings but today they will be broadcasting from 9am-10pm. It will be a mixture of a full range of music throughout the day with the youngest presenter being aged 7 and the oldest being 57.

At noon Laurence Seaton the well know local auctioneer will be in the hot seat as he lets us know about his life storey and we spin a few of his favourite discs and pose some interesting questions Sport follows and then its more great radio . So its plenty to listen to and get involved with. If you have a company who wants to support this great venture then get in touch.
Checkout the poster on how to get in contact to listen or to take part.

A Little Bit of Fun For A Bank Holiday

My friends Suntan & Timmy (The tortoises) are sort of winding down a bit, however Timmy is still somewhat amorous….however whilst wandering around he found ‘The Doorstop’ which is a ‘stone tortoise’ it took him a little while to decide whether it was worth a try….but he is clever…..coming later – What Timmy did to Suntan this afternoon..
naughty boy….
Of course you could try a guess which is ‘Timmy’ and which is ‘The Stone’
