Not Far From Where We Live & Work…
A drink driver who was caught behind the wheel at more than three times the legal limit thanks to a member of the public was jailed just two days later.
Valentas Nargela, 28, was spotted by officers driving a Mercedes C Class in Ramsey Road and Milk and Water Drove, Peterborough on Saturday

The vehicle had been reported to police by a member of the public who had seen Nargela buy alcohol from a garage and drink it in the car.
Did you know? We operate a dedicated, confidential hotline – 0800 032 0845 – which is available 24/7 to report anyone thought to be driving under the influence

We Are Getting Closer To The Result….
Several years of lobbying and campaigning – plus 2 public meetings, nearly 3 years of delays due to COVID. The majority of residents who took part in the safety enhancement
consultation for Ramsey Road and Church Street, opted for a 20 MPH speed limit.
After meeting with the Highways Engineer from Cambs CC ealier this year, with Cllrs, Mason, Windle, and CC Connor – a way forward and finance has been progressing.
Below is the mapping of what the scheme may turn out, with some other neighbouring roads also being included in the scheme. It has taken a lot of time and effort to get this far….lets hope we can deliver the project.

ONS Data

You can find out for example how many people over 65 there are in Whittlesey.
You can find the same data for Coates/Eastrea & Pondersbridge.
28.2% of people in Peterborough were born outside of the UK whilst in Fenland
that figure is 11.8%
You can view the mapping system (takes a couple of trial and efforts to work it out)
https://www.ons.gov.uk/census/maps
Another example being the number of ex armed forces personnel are in the Whittlesey area.
