Update – FDC Cabinet Meeting Agenda – Monday 20th February

On the agenda Council Tax not increasing, which has been the case for a number of years,
some will welcome this, but in reality a saving of £5:00 is somewhat a very small amount.
There are those who say it is a political stance in that there are local elections coming in May and the majority Conservative administration will make great mileage from there not being an (FDC) increase….

On the agenda will be :- Whittlesey Growing Fenland Market Town Funding from CPCA (Pages 105 106)
The purpose of this report is to update Cabinet on the success of applications to the
CPCA to put in place new projects supporting the community in Whittlesey, recycling
the remaining Market Towns funding of £455,000 following the cancellation of the
Whittlesey Heritage Centre project.

Cricket Returning to Manor Field

Whittlesey Cricket Club is a small club based in Fenland that offers affordable fun cricket and membership to people regardless of age and ability. We are an ambitious club currently going through a re-building phase and improving our facilities

We currently play our cricket in Division 2 of the Rutland league, we are always on the lookout for new members to either play or help out at the club.

They have applied for planning permission for an enclosed fence and container under
F/YR23/0114 @ FDC Planning Portal.
