Bad Parker – Blue Badge – Peterborough

Displaying a blue badge does not give you the right to block an entire footpath.

Unacceptable parking from this driver, causing a hazard to pedestrians. No one could pass this vehicle without going into the road, let alone a parent with a pushchair or someone in a wheelchair…

We gave the vehicle a ticket and the illegal parking has been reported 👍

FDC Planning Agenda Wednesday 08th March

I have used the ‘Travesty’ before on this whole site, planners have recommended approval at this forcoming meeting.

Controversial history on this extention to the Showfields site, there has been many occasions that both Residents and Local Councillors have raised objections and concerns.
‘It’ appears that ‘Planning Policy’ is to take priority.
Maybe the Planner have not read this part of the document and its serious implications

4.1 The existing GP practices do not have capacity to accommodate the
additional growth resulting from the proposed development. The
development would generate approximately 139 residents and
subsequently increased the demand and healthcare pressures upon the
existing services..

4.2 The primary healthcare services directly impacted by the proposed
development and the current capacity position is shown in Table 1

Boat ‘ Parked’ on Church Street

From Cllr Dee Laws…..

Following a number of residents and motorist complaints from November 2022
Cllr Mayor and myself reported the trailer/boat parked directly opposite Park Lane/Church Street ‘T’ junction.

We both used March Neighbourhood Team e-mail and on several occasions included pictures demonstrating the trailer/boat was illegally parked directly opposite a busy ‘T’ junction.
As we are all aware parking issues are not the highest priority on the Police list of criminal activities.

Please see response from PSCO Walker.

I had words with the boat owner and advised him NOT to park opposite the junction of Park Road as causing an obstruction, he has now moved the boat outside his house and he has put cones around it to increase its visibility. So now it is not causing an obstruction or an offence, whilst he continues work on his driveway and can relocate the boat there on completion. I hope this answers your query.
