It’s Time To Get Your Fingers Green!
It’s that time of year when your garden will need some TLC, and not because its overgrown 🌿🌳
Taking steps to protect your garden is a simple yet effective way to deter burglars. That’s why we wanted to share some tips on how you can protect your home by getting your fingers green this Spring! ☀
Cut back shrubs and hedges to eliminate hiding spots for burglars.
Ensure side gates to your garden are secure with functioning locks.
Consider adding lightweight trellis to fences and plant some prickly plants to make it harder for burglars to climb over.
Avoid leaving gardening tools on display and lock them away when they’re not being used.
Consider having gravel driveways and paths to make it harder for burglars to go undetected.
Register your tools on https://www.immobilise.com to help police trace them if they’re stolen.

Update Manor – Swimming Pool – Still Somewhat ‘Cool’
Several visits by ‘engineers’ – some parts replaced and as of this afternoon (Wednesday 19th) the water temperature is stubbornly on the cool side, it is around 5/6 °C below what it should be.
Lots of scratching of heads…..after some 2 weeks.
When I was the ‘Engineer’ and something wasn’t fixed pretty pronto – the magic words were pack your bags you’re on the next flight home…..get it ‘fixed’

Whittlesey Shopkeeper Has Appeared In Court.
A shopkeeper has appeared in court for selling lollies containing cannabis.
Gulal Shamalzi admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Police carried out a warrant at his convenience shop in Market Street, Whittlesey, in April last year.
Cannabis lollipops were seized and tests later showed they contained Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a cannabinol derivative and component of cannabis-related material.
Shamalzi was handed a 12-month community order with a mental health treatment requirement and a 12-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and the cannabis lollies were destroyed.
PC Gary Stabler said: “This investigation highlights our commitment to listening to the community’s concerns and following up on information we receive.
“Cannabis edibles can be dangerous, and with bright packaging, they can be particularly appealing to children and young people.
“We take all offences involving drugs very seriously and would urge people to continue reporting information to us.”
