MVAS Data – Motor Vehicle Activated Signs

Whittlesey Town Council have as requested by many members of the public installed, movable MVAS Boxes around the area, the data which I publish when given, is sent to both the Police and the Police & Crime Commissioner.
The PCC has 3 dedicated funded teams in Cambridgeshire who look at our and other Councils/Volunteer Groups (Speed Watch) and then target the worst offending areas.

The box ‘Violations with ACPO’ is when a speeder would normally be ‘ticketed’ – it is this percentage which carries the weight.
A vehicle doing 88mph past King Delph may or maynot have been an emergency vehicle.

Church Gardens / Coates & Teal Road Whittlesey show up as areas of concern.
These stats are pretty consistent throughout the data recording periods from 2021.

If you have concerns about speeding in your area, contact your own Councillor who can request for a MVAS to monitor and collect data from that area.
