Today, 2 men and a high-lift van have come all the way from Hertfordshire to ‘paint’ our relatively new ‘Lampposts’ – their target is 33 to paint the ‘newish’ Lampposts.
Whilst many are complaining on how ‘Dim’ the latest installed LED lights are, someone appears to have money for this unnecessary work.

I’ve attached below the whole document for FDC Cabinet – Item Fenland Inspire! Projects Update (Pages 25 – 52) makes interesting reading in that the present forecast is £43 Million to fund Fenland Aspire, the majority of which will have to be borrowed.
That said this is probably the one and only opportunity to gets major enhancements done before ‘Fenland District Council’ is absorbed into a ‘Unitary Authority’

A shortish shower for 10 minutes, didn’t put off those attending, estimate in the region of around 250/300 enjoyed the rest of the warm afternoon.

When some of our Councillors were still in ‘shorts’ – and probably not progressed a great deal since.
My friends and I (and they are still my friends) were organising and holding public community meetings every 3 months, paid for by the local police team.
The last meeting we held had over 60 people attend.
It was decided I was NOT an Elected Councillor, and that Whittlesey Town Council would take over the meetings, it lasted just one more before folding.
One of the reasons I decided to stand as an Independent Councillor…..
It has taken well over 30 years for the out of town Supermarket to happen..

I just wonder if those ‘polluters’ not just our industrial area, but our rivers, forrests, lakes and roads are listening.
Bad news this week, if the Environment Agency wasn’t already struggling and somewhat unfit for purpose, the Government has reduced funding…..
‘Polluter’ a person or thing responsible for contaminating the environment with harmful or poisonous substances.
