So after a bit more research, it would appear that the (2) Yellow Poles that have been installed along Eastrea Road (Whittlesey) are Gas Riser relief pipes. These are quiet common both in the Gas/Oil & Shipping industries. Why they have now appeared is anyone guess – but they are NOT average speed camera gantries.
It ‘looks’ like Average Speed Camera’s are about to be installed along Eastrea Road.
Speeding near a school is asking for trouble, I dare say ‘those’ at the Road Safety Partnership have decided to fund this initiative. I’ve not heard or seen anything ‘official’

The Camera on Syers Lane appears to ‘produce’ the results…!!!

A community fire service volunteer will bring out lots of freebies to give away and give advice on keeping safe around fire. Detectors. Carbon monoxide poisoning etc. There will also be information about personal safety at home, tips on avoiding making your home and property less attractive to burglars and when out and about, parking your car in a well-lit area, not having items of value on show when walking alone or in your car, etc.
