My very good neighbour and friend for over 40 years – Colin Goodson is 90 years young today. A local man who did his bit for National Service and went to the Malaya camapign during the early 1950’s. Married to Dot – who passed away last year – colin remains very possitive and independent under the current situation. Pity we couldn’t have a party – maybe next year.
Yesterday Wednesday saw Deborah Slater’s ‘Feeding Whittlesey’ Group deliver 100+ cooked ‘Chicken Casserole’ to our identified groups – with more being added by the day.
This will carry on every week for the time being.

I am humbled indeed for my achieving another milestone of 1.5 Million visits on my simple web-blog at 10:02 this morning.
As I have said on many occasions, this is the ‘only’ place you will get factual information – NO Fakes or False News – yes it has taken a considerabe time to reach this milestone, that said thanks to some of my ‘avid’ readers and supporters who have been here with me for all these years.
I am proud to have attended and reported on The Kings Dyke Crossing from 2013, when asked I comment that it is a ‘community based site’ yes some local politics – but as an elected local councillor I believe it is our duty to keep our electorate informed on what we do as their representative. Others may use social media – that is for them.

It is with great sadness to learn of the passing away of Alan.
A Yorkshire man at heart, Alan was a passionate man standing up for his community.
Entertaining at times but always with a serious end.
