Short Sight Vision @ FDC
Disclaimer : – I do no longer own a Hybrid Vehicle
Looking for an Electric Charge Point for a Hybrid Vehicle in Fenland is like looking for water in a desert….
I understand there was an informal presentation given to FDC’s Cabinet recently the decision was that – the Council currently has no proposals to install EV charge points within our car parks.
When neighbouring Peterborough and Hunts are way ahead – there are many here locally who own Hybrid/EV who would benifit.
The Government is throwing £Millions at subsidising the installation costs.
Whilst I fully understand that EV Charging points are low on the priority of Council business at present – Fenland is again being left behind – a very short sighted vision.

Scams Aware Meeting This Morning
I know that I am forever harping on about scams – it is another subject that ‘we’ all think will not bother us and go away – not the case – there is always something new to learn or to be made aware of.
There have been (mainly elderly) victims of Corona Virus Scams (Door-Step mainly) here locally.
You can find out more from Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Against Scams Partnership.

FDC – Support
Good afternoon!
I hope you’re well.
In light of the recent information surrounding free school meals during half term,
I have been asked to contact our community partners to see if you are offering assistance
to those families eligible for free school meals during the half term period.
If this does not apply to you, please disregard this email.
If you are, can you please send me the information/what is on offer,
as we are looking to put information together regarding the local offer
for these families.
We will advise residents who require help to contact our
community hub and signpost them to organisation for assistances (as we have been).
Please note, any contact information/offers you provide may be given to members of the public, therefore please only send contact details/information in which you are happy to share.
If you require any further information on any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Izzi

NHS Winter News-Letter
Getting to see someone at your surgery maybe easier at some surgeries than others.
If you are not satisfied – keep ringing or ask to speak with the practice manager.
COVID has effected the ways many organisations are now dealing with customers/public.
