Today We Are Celebrating CNY

‘We’ – Connie & I have celebrated Chinese New Year ever since we’ve been married.
Fortunate to have celebrated in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam over the past 40+ years.

Alas not going anywhere this year… So a traditional Chinese ‘Steamboat’ for us tonight.

Please note that major works planned for Ramsey Road – for 9 weeks, therefor if B1040 or North Bank closed the only route to Peterborough is on the A605 and if there’s a problem there it is via Guyhirn/A47 to Peterborough…..28 mile detour @ 45 minutes on a good day…Stay at Home is the best bet.

COVID Stats

Peterborough City Hospital has recorded 415 Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“I can confirm that sadly, 597 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths. There have been 182 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 415 at Peterborough City Hospital.

All patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and the majority of those had pre-existing health conditions. We are currently caring for 233 patients with Coronavirus in our hospitals.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”

As of Friday, there has been no change to the regional R rate – or reproduction number – of coronavirus transmission across the East of England.
