This afternoon a number of patients registered at The New Queen Street Surgery who are between 65 and 70 years old have been contacted for appointments for their COVID vaccination, several are booked for this Friday.

The scheduled Whittlesey Town Council Planning Committee meeting for Monday 15th February has been cancelled – there were no applications to consider, it happens sometimes….
Peterborough City Hospital has recorded 415 Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“I can confirm that sadly, 597 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths. There have been 182 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 415 at Peterborough City Hospital.
All patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and the majority of those had pre-existing health conditions. We are currently caring for 233 patients with Coronavirus in our hospitals.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
As of Friday, there has been no change to the regional R rate – or reproduction number – of coronavirus transmission across the East of England.
