WTC Meeting 18th March 2021 #1
Disclaimer: These observations are not the ‘official’ minutes of the meeting, these are supplied by
Whittlesey Town Council, normally (1) month following this meeting and can be viewed on their website.
Decisions and Voting at this meeting may be ratified and confirmed at the following months meeting.
There will be 3 parts to the WTC meeting held last night.
Part 1 is the ‘slide presentations’ given by Royal Haskoning, – Southern Relief Road Inception Report.
There is a 70+ page document which is too large to post here and should anyone wish to have it, you are welcome to contact me and I will send it over.
The other (2) parts will come either later today or tomorrow….

Please be Aware of A bp Chargemaster Scam
We are aware that a number of people have received emails that appear to have come from a bp Chargemaster email address. These have not been sent by us.
We no longer actively use email addresses that end in @bpchargemaster.com.
Please treat any emails you may receive from this domain as suspicious and be vigilant:
Don’t click on any links contained in the email or open any attachments
Ensure you protect yourself online – please see the guidance on the National Cyber Security Centre website for helpful tips.
As a precaution, and to minimise any risk, we are notifying all our customers and the Information Commissioner’s Office of this incident, while we carry out a detailed investigation. We take the protection of data very seriously.
We are also taking appropriate steps to mitigate any potential impact of this incident.
We’re sorry for any concern this may cause. We will provide further information as appropriate.

Tonight @ WTC Meeting 19:30 on ZOOM
Members of the public can join the meeting – it is best that the Town Clerk is notified first in order that she is aware of who is trying to log in. Details of log-in are on the Agenda publish on this web-blog last week.
There will be a presentation by ‘Royal Haskoning’ reporting on a Southern relief road onception. This is the very first stages of moving the project forward.
I will be presenting a case on the planning application to import 250,000 of Bottom End Ash + 50,000 tonnes of Construction & Waste for recycling at The Saxon Pit Whittlesey.
An update of the proposed Whittlesey Heritage Centre (Funding already approved)
There will as usual be a summary report on this web-blog probably over the weekend.

@ WTC Meetings Last Night
The Finance & Policy Committee met (I am a member of the public attending) and WTC’s finance are in a fairly strong position, please note the Whittlesey Town Council have NOT increased their share of Council Tax this year neither have FDC…the increases come from Cambs CC, The Police & Crime Commissioner, Fire Service and Social Services.

The second meeting was the Planning Committee (I do sit as a member), although no applications for St Mary’s South.
There is an outline planning application to erect up to 9 dwellings at 22 Barrs Street.
This is the last remaining ‘industrial sites’ within the conservation area. The owner wish to re-locate and develop the site. The main issues being Highways and the design was not to an adoptable standard.
