KD X Bridge Update From CCC
A message from the King’s Dyke project team:
The last of the work on the project’s railway bridge has now taken place, with the team sealing the joints between its precast concrete parapets – this provides permanent edge protection from the weather across the bridge.
Also on the bridge, two of the four wing walls (pictured left), which will extend back from each corner of the railway bridge, have been completed.
The construction of a third wing wall (pictured right), on the opposite side, is now in progress.
Lastly, the site team has created what will be a temporary access point towards the brickworks from the existing A605.

How Fortunate We Are….
On my travels around cycle route 63 towards Coates, an area I played hundreds of hours as a child with my friends. Just a few minutes from or town, the peace, quiet and nature.
I saw a muntjac deer, at least a dozen rabbits, an owl, a family of what looked like mice.
Then when I came into South Green, where I lived from 1952 to 1961, I came across
Mr Colin Cook, who I hadn’t seen for over 60 years, guest what he recognised me !!!!! and a good catch up on old days….
A lovely field of wheat – yes GM – not a weed in it, but we need the flour.
Maybe Jeremy Clarkson should come here and seen how to plant a field.

1 Man Caught Phishing…..
If anyone has wondered what equipment is needed to send thousands of scam text messages, then take look at the image below.
Police in Manchester arrested a 21 year old scammer in a hotel last month. (June 2021) He had allegedly sent 26,000 phishing text messages in just one day all of which appeared to have been sent by the parcel delivery company Hermes.
The box of tricks to the right of the laptop and with the aerials on it, is designed to send out multiple text messages. For each aerial you see, there will be an associated SIM card in fact, you can also see the SIM card packaging between the laptop and device which was probably bought for 99p from a local shop?
Be alert to suspicious communications, forward texts to 7726 and emails to report@phishing.gov.uk
