Plastic What Plastic

Just before the COVID pandemic, the ‘world’ thought it was addressing the never ending ‘Plastic Rubbish’ the world has created.
This in general and I doubt whether the COP26 summit will make any difference.

My litterpicking has gone into hibernation until the spring, but the number of Face Masks I was collecting that ‘people’ had thrown away was incredible.
Now we have to somehow get rid of the Lateral Flow Testing Kits – by the Million.

Lateral Flow Tests & Packaging are not for recycling and should be put the the general waste bin.

Lateral Flow Test Kit Availability

I have been informed by several residents that there are today no issues in obtaining Lateral Flow Test Kits. The system in place at Childers is very quick and efficient.
Those who are there for a take-away collect from a table just inside the door….no form filling, no names/address required.
Naturally the situation can change depending on demand.

Updates MVAS Data

Notes : VIOLATIONS NO ACPO indicates speeds over 30mph but would not normally be prosecuted (30 – 34mph)
VIOLATIONS WITH ACPO indicates speeds which would lead to a prosecution.

The average for England/Wales for all roads is just over 5% – therefor looking at line 6
the % far exceeds the norm, and this would be a high priority of concern when the data is analysed by the Police.

Just Before Christmas A Very Convincing Scam

From a local resident I received a text message today stating that the Post Office had tried to deliver a parcel to me at 16.36 but that I was out (which I was not) and including a link to a website where I could arrange redelivery.
The Post Office doesn’t send messages like this, it is the Royal Mail that does so and when I copied the number and input it on the track and trace section of the Royal Mail website the number isn’t recognised which it would do if the parcel was already in their system and had been out for delivery.
The decider for me is the request for £1.99 whereas the Royal Mail does not charge for redelivery.
