Fuel, Food – Group Meeting Today.

Today I joined 61 others in March to exchange information on who and how District and County Councils can support the community in what is and will be a major concern.
As we all know how all fuel prices have increased with much more to come.

I was as usual the only member of the public to attend – everyone elese was a paid member of a Council or Government Agency.
My input was appreciated and hopefully I can feed back to Whittlesey Town Council on some of the support which is there now and for the future.

New Healthcare Group For Peterborough & Cambs

I won’t even attempt to explain how this works — The overall funder for Peterborough & Cambs used to be The CCG (Combined Clinical Group) somehow/someone has decided a ‘new’ group need to be formed (Cost) – and is now to be called The ICS (Intregated Care System) in control of a £1 Billion +++  budget.
All most of us want is to be looked after by our Care/medical system.
Below – good reading if you can understand it – is the communication from the ICS>

Update – Aldi Make It at Last

My source came via FDC communications.
Maybe read the story that John Ellworthy has written in the Cambs Times….

Read Cambs Times Story Here….

Like Ali/Lidl or not, competition is needed in our town, after more than 10 years – all the Supermarketgate ups and downs – I and many saw these disappointments –

Today, ALDI Store has successfully achieved planning approval and the decision notice is for all to view on Fenland District Council planning website.

The decision notice by FDC with all the conditions can be Read By Clicking Here

Its hope the build will commence by August 2022 and if everything comes together on site, weather permitting etc we might see a Christmas opening.
