Xtravaganza Meeting
Unfortunately I could not attend the 2021 Whittlesey Extravaganza held on 11th December.
Most of the feedback was very positive and a wonderful time was had by the many who attended the event.
At last nights committee meeting, discused the success of the event and what could perhaps be improved upon for this coming years event.
With the cancellation of this years ‘Straw Bear Festival’ – the ‘COVID Effect’ has always to be considered.
Date planned for this years event – Saturday 10th December starting at 15:30

Whittlesey COVID Rate Still Increasing
I have spoken with several people who have caught COVID over the Holiday period, I am pleased to say that none whom I have spoken with needed hospital treatment, luckily most had just a ‘flu’ type symptoms. You can read a personal account of COVID on Cllr Eamonn Dorlings Web-blog....http://www.eamonndorling.co.uk/covid-positive/
Below are the running updates….

KD X Update
A message from the King’s Dyke project team:
The site team have completed the pile cap and anchor beam works with all 24 bars installed. The stone layer (pictured left) has been placed over the top ready for the reinforced earth embankment works to start.
Kerbing has been completed on the western roundabout (pictured right), with the associated tie-in works ready to commence in the New Year. With all the major structures now completed, we will be starting to connect the new road to the existing one from 10 January and this will involve temporary traffic management on the road – find out more details here
We would like to thank all residents and commuters for their patience in 2021

More Bad News – COVID Stats
As you maybe aware, the statistics I get from the Office of National Statistics, lag behind by 5/7 days, this has been the case since the start of the pandemic.
However it produces a ‘trend’ in what is and has happened mathematically.
Here is todays stats and below those that were published yesterday.
I am sorry to say, there is a very simple solution…. but who am I to advise people.
Surrounding area’s are seeing their rates going up (blacked area’s)
