KD X Update
A message from the King’s Dyke project team:
The first phase of the tie-in works at the western roundabout is completed (pictured right), with the next stage of activity to include tarmac to be placed up to the existing road.
Work has progressed well, and we were pleased to temporarily remove the traffic management to minimise disruption. Traffic lights will be back on the road when required next week to allow the surfacing works to be carried out up against the existing A605.
Drivers are reminded to take extra care to not stop on the railway line, which is a major health and safety concern.

Card Fraud in Ukraine:
Scammers Are Changing the Way They Work – I received a very convincing e-mail yesterday from both UK & US Banks asking for donations towards the Ukrainian Relief Fund. If you want to help only us recognised charities.
The message above is a scam warning from Barclays but is relevant whoever you bank with.
Please consider warning family, friends, and colleagues.

WTC Projects & Planning Meeting Last Night
I attended both meetings as a committee member. The agenda’s were published previously.
Allotments, there are currently 23 on the waiting list – don’t let this put you off, sometimes the list moves quite quickly.
WTC/FDC are considering a ‘Continental Market’ date provisionally 27th October.
The Platinum Jubilee Holiday – will have WTC put on ‘A Picknic in the Park’ @ The Manor Field Whittlesey’ – and indoors at the Manor Centre if the weather is poor.
Sunday 05th June – BYO Food & Drink, there will be a BBQ from which food can be purchased.
The only contentious planning application being for The Monastery – Market Street, which WTC Planning Committee requested it be deferred until March for further information yet to be received.

My Attendance NWA NHS Trust
I have been a member of the NW Anglia NHS Trust for many years and attend most of their meetings. Today we were given details of upgrades and ongoing enhancements to Stamford Hospital – Many may not be aware but a great number of our residents are either elected or request to go to Stamford as in many cases the waiting times as less.
