Yesterday at 2pm UK time, there was a ‘Teams’ meeting in respect of the below e-mail regarding Saxon Pit.
As you matbe aware, I’ve been involved and supporting residents since 2017.
It has taken nearly 9 years to get this far.
Attending myself (KL), Boden (Manila), Alex Miscandlon and Haq Nawaz.
We are embargoed and under confidentiality until next week, however, the meeting was well constructed, and presented (no power point).
I had already submitted questions on behalf of the Saxongate Group, and to an extent these were answered within the presentation.
Cllr Dee Laws was unable to make the meeting and had a telephone update from FDC.
Always as usual disappointed the Cllr Singh and newly elected Cllr Branton did not turn up to this very important presentation ….remember it was Cllr Singh knocking on doors ‘promising’ all and sundry he would engage and sort Saxons problems out (along with Cllr Nawaz).
Only Cllr Sidney Imafidon (Portfolio Holder – Environment) from outside turned up (no questions). Cllr Mockett was also invited and failed to turn up (work probably).
None of the invited Wisbech councillors attended.
Sent by Fenland Environmental Health Team on behalf of Sally Cartwright, Director of Public Health, Cambridgeshire County Council.
The risk assessment has been carried out following concerns raised by the community in relation to the Saxon Pit site and potential impacts on health.
We have worked closely with partners to carry out the risk assessment including UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA),
Fenland District Council (Environmental Health) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). As regulators, the Environment Agency and Waste Planning Authority at Cambridgeshire County Council have provided data, information, and advice.
I am inviting you to a briefing on the work and its findings prior to the publication of the report.
There are two available briefings, which will be held online via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 13th January.
Briefing times are:
If you would like to be invited to a briefing then please contact publichealth.adminteam@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
who will send you the Teams invite.
Due to time constraints, there will be limited opportunity for questions during the briefing.
However, we will set up a structured process to respond to further questions once the report has been published.

14:00 today is a ‘Teams’ meeting, to update FDC (Ward 7 Portfolio Holders) on the
UKHSA report on Saxon Pit.
I hope to attend this meeting….(technology permitting)
Now complete Saxon Pit Public Health Risk Assessment.
The full risk assessment report will be published online and made available to all in the week of the 13th of January.

I have been asked to circulate this email to our members, that are three attachments:
Dear U3A members,
As some of you may be aware we are, at St Andrew’s Church, planning some exciting re-ordering of the inside of the Church to include some vital toilets and a small kitchenette area.
We will of course be applying for funding for this project and in order to do so we need to have solid evidence of the support of the wider community of Whittlesey. We are asking for your help please.
Attached are the plans and a survey. The first page of the plans are the Church as is and then after that our plans. Also attached is a printable copy of the survey which can be returned to me at 11 Claygate, PE7 1QL, in addition there is a QR code which will take you to an on-line version.
It is very important to us that we get as many responses as possible to this survey so if you could complete one that would be splendid and feel free to forward to anyone else you think might be interested.
Kind Regards.
Coral Cornell.

Hello All,
Due to illness this evening’s movie event at Queen St Church has had to be cancelled. If you know of anybody who was planning to go along but who will not have seen this message, would you please advise them accordingly?
Thank you,
Tony Wright

Although our ‘Golden Wedding Anniversary’ is not until December, I’m in the mood to celebrate early, especially after my ‘very’ close encounters last year.
Make the best whilst we can.
Luckily we have ‘a friend’ who is ‘Platinum’ status at Hyatt and we have a suite on one of the top floors, tomorrow Sunday we shall see if all lives up to the hype?
