Very well organised, some 12 organisations took part, as far afield as Wisbech and Peterborough, several of our own, including The Whittlesey Festival,
Whittlesey Extravaganza, Street Pride,
Patinum Wood to name a few.

Around 60 or so came along which was a good number for a Saturday morning.

Feedback, was very positive, with many signing up ‘new’ volunteers.

Volunteers Fair, some 10 Stalls/Stakeholders in attendance.

11 of us attended Mondays Neighbourhood Watch – new sergeant (again)
Not too many concerns raised, the usual ‘parking’ problems and state of our roads.

I enclose January’s police report to WTC, I have only just received permission to use.

Today (Friday) again 11 member of the New Queen Street Surgery Patients Participation Group met the the surgery, chair by Barry Wainwright, there was generally good feedback from the members. There will be ‘Covid’ boosters for those eligible, and flu jabs as usual later in the year.
The HOT topic, was the forthcoming installation of CCTV/Parking Camera’s.
After numerous complaints from patients missing appointments due to them not being able to find a parking space.
There are 65 parking spaces, around 20 or so staff and of course those using Boots Chemist.
There is no date yet as to when this will come into effect.

I will update more when known.

The office phone is temporary out of service, the Clerk still has e-mail access.

The coach trip to Cromer on Wednesday 26th August for the End of Pier matinee variety show.
There are still several places yet to fill, despite advertising it fairly widely. I based the costing at £45 per person for a full 53 seater coach and have to fund this trip from my own finances until reimbursed.
It would not be fair to expect those who have already reserved places to pay more to compensate for empty seats.

I can leave it until after the Easter weekend to decide but, if by then I am unable to secure a full coach load of passengers it leaves me no option other than to cancel this trip.
If you are interested or know of others (not necessarily U3A members) who are then please advise me soonest.
