Parking Tickets – Plenty This Week

Those who park illegally are taking chances, this week alone more than 10 tickets issued.

Illegal parking is actually one of our team priorities, as chosen by you, the people of Fenland!
Our priority is focussed on Whittlesey, but that doesn’t mean we neglect the rest of our patch, and yesterday we were carrying out parking enforcement in Chatteris.

We ticketed several cars, including this one which was parked on double yellow lines and into the crossing. There is a FREE car park a few minutes walk away!

Remember, we can’t be everywhere, but we could be anywhere – so if you don’t fancy paying a fixed penalty notice, don’t park illegally!
Find out more about the March team and our current priorities, on the force website here 👉 https://orlo.uk/9EOod

If you think parking isn’t an issue and want us to focus our time on something else, tell us! Share your views on our current survey for our next priorities 👉 https://forms.office.com/r/CHuCACnA8c

Would You Know When To Call 999

Would you know when to call 999 vs when to call 101, or use our online services? 🤔 The general rule is that 999 should be called when:
✅ An offence is in progress, or has just happened.
✅ Someone is in serious danger / harm
✅ The offender / offenders are still at the scene.
✅ The situation is likely to escalate and could cause a disruption to the public
✅ Property is likely to get damaged.
✅ The situation requires immediate police presence.
If your issue does not meet any of these criteria, you should call us on our non emergency line, 101, or go online to use our online reports or web chat.

📱 101 can often get very busy, so going online allows you to skip the queues and get on with your day.
