March = 200+ | Whittlesey 12

Yesterday the vaccinator mini bus visited Whittlesey to offer those who are eligible (75+ and those who quailify medically) a Booster Covid Jab.

I went to see them at around 3pm and at that time had only 12 Whittlesey area people visit them. The day previously they had been in March and had over 200.

Most I have spoken with have had a text message inviting them to make an appointment for their Booster…..several have already had it at ‘Boots’ in Hampton and I am informed that Jenner Health Centre had already done a campaign.

Maybe their are more ‘Elderly Residents’ in March?

Updated – Some Lucky Youths – Yesterday.

On my travels yesterday with an Officer from FDC, we witnessed Youths on the Flat Roof of the Manor Building. Unknown to them !!!! – the roof is not a very safe place to be.
The roof has ‘cones’placed on the soft/dangerous parts, the Youths were throwing the cones off the roof.

The FDC Officer had swift word with them.

SaxonGate News – AW Jenkinsons – Update

Following the decision by Fenland District Council to use their delegated powers to refuse the retrospective planning application for this ongoing operation.

We have been informed today that, despite the refusal  AW Jenkinsons (Forest Products) of Cumbria will be allowed to remain working in Saxon Pit until November 2023.

During this period, they have said that they will be winding down the business.
Fenland District Council will of course be monitoring the situation and we have been advised that if the business does not wind down gradually as agreed with FDC enforcement action will be taken.

Meanwhile if you find you are suffering from significant dust , noise or odour issues please contact your local councillor who can then take the matter up with the authorities involved.

You can read more details about the planning decision in this article:-
