Some before many of us can remember, but following on from this weeks – Railway meeting @ Whittlesey Town Council (see ealier post).
Whittlesea had a substantial station and timetable, sidings and storage.
The station was demolished around 1974.
FYI – Trains used to stop at Eastrea at one time.

Whittlesey has a very well organised Park Run on Saturdays @ 9am

I’ve been invited to talk about to official opening tomorrow (Saturday) of The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Wood on Yarwells Headlands.

More will be coming over the weekend after the event.

The Double Yellow Lining (including all refresh works around Whittlesey) & the installation of the 20 mph limit will be commence next week starting Tuesday and hopefully all being completed by Wednesday.

The 20 mph speed introduction to Ramsey Road & Church Street has been 3 years in the making and was the preferred choice of residents of Ramsey Road & Church Street when they were asked.
