Vehicle Seized in Whittlesey After Public Concerns
Thanks to the help of the public, your local neighbourhood officers have successfully removed another illegal vehicle off the road!
Officers patrolled the area after having this vehicle identified to us as causing anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Whittlesey and reports of it being uninsured.
The vehicle was stopped, and checks confirmed that not only was the vehicle uninsured, but the driver also only held a provisional licence. The vehicle has been seized and the driver reported.

Planning approval for £300 million incinerator at Wisbech is still valid, says company boss….
Statement issued after approval notice removed from national website
The Wisbech waste-to-energy incinerator developer has shrugged off uncertainty over an approval notice for the £300 million facility.
Paul Carey, managing director of MVV Environment, which is behind the plans for the huge incinerator on a site on the Algores Industrial Estate, said the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero’s decision to approve the project was still valid.

The Fenland Community Safety Partnership want to hear from you! They are made up of representatives from different agencies (e.g. police, local authorities, and fire and rescue) who work together to protect local communities from crime and disorder.
From anti-social behaviour, to speeding, to parking issues, the survey covers a whole range of topics for you to have your say on.
The results of the survey will help inform their work and highlight key areas of concern to them.

Confusion On What Happens Next…..Wisbech Mega Incinerator
Planning Inspectorate, which comes under the control of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities where yesterday’s announcement was made, revealed that “we have removed previously published consent”.
The statement added that clarification is being sought and promised a “further update will be provided in due course”.
At Fenland District Council a motion being put forward to seek further advice on whether a legal challenge is one avenue.
