All is not ‘simple’ – this being one of the most complex, time consuming issues I have had to deal with…and as of late this afternoon, the ‘builders‘ responsible took it down themselves.

There was a plan from Cambs CC enforcement team to take it down on Thursday 21st.

There is a lot more to this than I am able to publish.
It does leave the residents now with no roof tiles …..

I am on the case – as always….

Fenland Voluntary Organisation Network Meetings.
(I’ve only posted the Whittlesey meeting).

We would like to invite you to our next round of Voluntary Group Networking Meetings.    As you know, these meetings are a great way for local organisations to get together and network, (large and small),  giving an opportunity to share successes and challenges, to talk about good practise and to share all ideas about those important matters such as funding and volunteering!

We have taken the opportunity to inform you of all the meetings, so that you can choose which one is most appropriate for you to attend.
You are more than welcome to attend more than one, as there are different speakers and topics , and each network meeting always has a different feel due to the variety of its attendees,  so the conversations and updates always differ.

The Whittlesey meeting will be on Wednesday the 1^st July in The Council Chamber, Peele House, Whittlesey PE7 1AY, 10am to 12 pm.  For this meeting, our speaker will be Sara Marshall from Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, who will be letting us know how to apply for local funding.

Fenland Voluntary Network Meeting – Whittlesey – Support Cambridgeshire

Some of the local decisions made by Fenlands Planning Department – NOT the Planning Committee.

During the questioning of Cabinet members I asked the following from Cllr Steve Count, Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth, Land Charges & Inspire! Leisure Centre Projects.

1/ The very good news that grant funding for £2 Million has been agreed and secured from Sports England.

2/ Has Cllr Count met with or plan to meet with the new developer/builder.

3/ How ‘confident’ is he in bringing the project forward ontime and budget given uncertaincies.

Unfortunately – FDC’s YouTube Channel, appears not to have been updated as it is not showing todays meeting, where you could have seen the answers.
Hopefully they will update.

Maybe you should ask your councillor from Peterborough to deal with this and get involved …. thats of course if she knows where Aliwal Road is……sorry I am being facetious, but having witnessed last weeks full council meeting where said councillor has to use AI for everything…..?
Anyway I am still on the case as I am with many others….and it is all reported, …. however our NOT Friend likes playing games….and as I have said before, move it – it goes and becomes another problem somewhere else. 

Town Council Office will be closed to the public on Monday 18th May.

The Office will re-open @ 09:30 to members of the public on Tuesday 19th May.
