The power of social media spreading ‘misinformation‘ – today several ‘commentators’, sent me e-mails with the same theme… That I had advocated building a community centre of the Station Road Recreation Ground.
I have NEVER repeat NEVER said this…in fact I’ve advocated the opposite and stated ‘why’ the SR Rec Ground is unsuitable.
So ‘PLEASE‘ – read ALL and read correctly…..

I have been requested to ‘correct’ the part of the article where ‘ as good as promised a ‘Community Centre’ ‘at the Station Road Recreation Ground.
I never said who at the meeting quoted this, so – as ever someone has ‘outed themselves on social media – I haven’t seen postings as not on SM – I reported this as it was heard and collaborated by a third person of ‘what we heard’.
I am as usual more than ‘happy’ to ‘alter’ (not correct), the wish of the ‘group’ who contacted me.

🫣Hide the location of the tank
🔒Fit it with a padlock or lockable filler cap
⛓️Secure the tank within a cage
⏰Fit the tank with an electronic gauge that triggers an alarm if levels drop
💡Install security lights and CCTV cameras near to the tank

The never ending ‘Wish-List’ on a proper/bespoke ‘community centre’
Probably dozens have been lobbying me and a few others.
I have done ‘extensive‘ research and this week reported to ‘Social Enterprise Eastern Network.
Some again do not or will not accept the ‘facts’

Last night, the 3 monthly online meeting with March sector Neighbourhood Police Sergeant – to set ‘priorities’ for local area’s….Only one attended – ME.
So I had the whole meeting to myself –
Of course many residents are always concerned about ‘Parking’ – however as I and he have explained on so many occasions, parking is just a very small part of the police remit.
Their issues are sometimes more focused on ‘Drugs/Child exploitation/Organised crime.
Our neighbourhood Team, have had a number of drug successes locally.
Prolific shoplifting success, and given some support.
