I was not at this meeting last Thursday.

The Blame Game – Kings Dyke Crossing

Isn’t hindsight a wonderful get out. Most of us (all the public as well) have witnessed the build up and history leading to the Kings Dyke Crossing – it is ALL HERE on this Web-Blog – over many years.

Now we have the ‘usual’ keyboard warriors blaming all and sundry for the issues we are experiencing now, this maybe the same ‘keyboard warriors’ that bothered to come and engage in the various consultations which took place prior to the ‘Favored Route’

^The vast majority including myself (I will stand and be counted) chose this current route and Cambs CC and the contractors went with it – Did we/Did they know the risk factors^

After reading both the previous press releases several times now – it looks likely there will be NO quick fix.
Options will be considered once more structual details are known
Risk factors will hopefully be considered.
Cost – who is going to pay?
Is an option still available to re-open the KD Railway Crossing – as I’ve said – there is a roll out of the East Coast Signaling system about to take place – I’ve heard it may ‘cost’ £5 Million to have the crossing reinstated.

Phew – Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing – Keyboard Warriors get the facts right please.

Option 3 was the choosen route – below.

The whole history of the Kings Dyke Bridge crossing can be found on this Web-Blog.
(You’ll have to search for it)

WTC – Report #1

WTC Paperwork 241017

Below the ‘Camper Van’ which was causing concern to some residents.
I did engage with the owner – who seemed a very nice gentleman – who informed me on how he disposed of his rubbish.

Just Keep On Building #3

So not tomorrow or next week, or even next year – but looking likely within 2/3 years.
There are issues (School) of which the applicant is setting aside land for a new school, however Cambc CC have no money allocated for a new school in Coates (at present).
There was a public consultaion last year.
