Update – Oh Dear, Dear Dear – I Understand a Somewhat Fractious WTC Meeting

I sent my apologies for not attending – some Councillors are still not doing so – see  below.

I’ve said this before, not even a short email to the Clerk stating not being able to attend any Council meeting is most discourteous to the public, chair, members of the public and electorate….By not sending an apology could cause the meeting to abandoned because of not being quorate …..time someone got a grip….

I understand that the meeting had to be suspended and most if not all members of the public walked out….

MP Barclay has A Go – But Wait A Minute…..

Whilst I could applaud MP Steve Barclay about the concerns he has ref Diagnosics @ Wisbech Hospital, whilst some of these poor statistics were on his watch when he was Health Secretary, similar to the Wisbech Incinerator being OK’d by the Conservative Government when he was Environment Minister….

Our Sincere Condolences – Alison Bacon RIP

It has been a privilege to have known Alison who passed away earlier this week.
I’ve known and been involved in many causes and groups within the area for many years,
and had many convivial conversations with her on many topics including local politics.
A loss of a good friend indeed.

Alison and her late husband Michael were at the forfront of engaging with local health and well-being at all levels including the intregated care board levels.
She was until recently chair of The New Queen Street Patients Participation Group.

Alison presently a cheque and donation of a water cooler to NQS/Dr Howsan 2017

Work Continues Following Coursing and Disorder

Dear Roy,

This morning officers were in Cambridge and Spalding carrying out further arrest attempts in connection with violent disorder and hare coursing caused across the county last month.

While no arrests were made today, messages were passed to friends, neighbours and relatives encouraging the individuals to make contact or expect police to continue to visit.

The force have made 12 arrests since the incident on 25 January and the investigation team will not rest until all those identified have been spoken to.

All of the people arrested were released with strict bail conditions.

Kind Regards,

Detective Inspector Matt Selves
