Out & About Yesterday…..
Although somewhat cool, I went out for a few hours and met up with ‘Friends of Platinum Wood’ @ Yarwells Headlands – just a few helping to keep the area tidy and some tree maintenance, I cleaned up the seating area’s.
Fellow lead on this project Cllr eamonn Dorling has just secured a small grant from ‘Glassmoor bank Wind Turbine Fund’ for some enhancements later this year, we have also been donated another (used) seating bench, which Eamoon is doing up.

I then went off ‘Litterpicking’ around town, The StreetPride Group were at Kings delph and I met up with them for a coffee in town afterwards….
Yet another load of rubbish and litter removed from the environment…
Twelve members attended the litter pick this morning, but they still managed to collect 14 bags of litter plus Chris collected another 4 bags on his way to Kings Delph.
The next litter pick will be at the Butter Cross – 10am – 31st May 2025. I hope that you can make it, it would be good to see you attending.
(Thanks PD)

Landlord and property manager prosecuted for “despicable” illegal eviction of family
A landlord and property manager who illegally evicted a family from their home in Wisbech have been successfully prosecuted by Fenland District Council.
Wisbech Construction Ltd director, Jamie Punton, and his property manager and local businessman Arslan Anjum, both from Wisbech, were found guilty of unlawfully evicting a tenant from a property in Cherry Road.
The eviction, which took place in February 2024, left the family – including young children – without shelter and their belongings scattered on the driveway.
