Children Who Maybe in Trouble….
I wanted you to be aware (unless you already are) of a BBC app called ‘Own It’.
The app uses a special keyboard which can recognise language that might suggest a child is in trouble.
And offer advice. Please forward accordingly.
For more detail please visit the webpage detailed below:

Be Aware – Be Careful
Latest received…
Beware parents with young people out in Whittlesey.
My daughters went to Nisa this morning on Broad Street for some snacks and were approached by a male who offered to buy them muffins if they went with him in his car.
He got into a car with another female and drove off after my girls informed the shop assistant and now police are on route to our home.
This could of easily ended up being so different if the girls didn’t know how to react in that situation !

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – Again
The good news is that several criminals (locally) have been caught out doing their bad ways and have been either convicted or about to be.
That said, I have been contacted twice recently regarding ‘suspected’ Drug Dealing within Whittlesey. I can only advise – I can not report it as I do not have the evidence!!!…
Unfortunately the good citizens will not/or are afraid of reporting themselves.
There is an answer – you can report to ‘Crime-Stoppers’ anonymously by either going online https://crimestoppers-uk.org or calling 0800 555 111
Drug dealing is now becoming just part of our on-going fight against crime, the police need information and reports.
Whittlesey warehouse used as ‘chop shop’ court told – a place where stolen vehicles were dismantled and parts re-packaged to be sold on – See Cambs Times Article
The recent ‘bust’ of a Drug Dealer off London Street – The dealer will not be returning to his old residence – lets hope his new residence is at ‘Her Majesty’s Pleasure’

Beware – Bogus Police – Please Read Advice….
We have received a report from a member of the public about being pulled over on the A47 near Wisbech, by an unmarked black 5 Series BMW, with blue flashing lights in the grille.
Two males dressed in dark clothing with local accents have approached the driver stating that the vehicle was showing up as uninsured.
When the driver has asked for the collar numbers of the two males, this was refused. The driver became suspicious of their behaviour, drove home and contacted the police.
Our advice is….
If you find yourself in a similar position where an unmarked vehicle with blue flashing lights is indicating for you to pull over, and you are unsure if this is a legitimate vehicle, please wait until you are in a safe, well lit populated area to stop.
Call police and give them as much information as possible – they will be able to confirm if it is a police registered vehicle.
Ask for ID and/or collar numbers – no police officer will refuse to do this.

2019 CCG – AGM
I have attended these very important meetings previously, this year in Ely.
The Cambs & Peterborough – Clinic Commissioning Group, is primarily responsible for delivering most Health Services across its area.
They have an annual budget of £1.2 Billion for the current financial year and as maybe seen in various press articles – are always financially ‘stretched’
Only 12 people attended, of which 6 were aligned health proffesionals and 2 from the press, that left 4 public, Myself, Cllr Mrs Kay Mayor (Chair of FDC) and Mr Bernard Gray-Esson (Lakeside NQS PPG) and 1 other.
Ex Whittlesey NQS GP Mr Gary Howsan has been the Chair of the CCG for 4 years.
Two major highlighs were that the over spend budget of £31 Million has been in effect written off, by agreement with the Government (The pre-arrangement being that if this figure was exceeded- then there would be penalties).
The other highlight being that the area covered is one of the lowest funded in the region.
I did ask questions (as I do!), did the written off money impact any other CCG/Health Groups and the answer was NO.
Peterborough City Hospital, still remains very challenging in funding sevices.
