To be gobsmacked means to be flabbergasted, astonished, or extremely surprised, often to the point of being speechless.

Attending (as a member of the public both the Finance & Policy and Planning meeting last night @ Whittlesey Town Council, I approached one of my fellow ward councillors to ask for help and assistance in dealing with issues from members of the public and electorate.

Somewhat ‘surprised’ that after nearly 3 years as a Town Councillor, they still can not or know how to report simple things like ‘Potholes’ for instance, ot more challenging issues…. why be a councillor then?…. (Political)

There is a lot of very informative and useful information on local social media, and I’m sure to say thank you to those who spend time to keep everyone up to date, however….
there still are those who relish in giving out misinformation to wind people up…..

My simple web-blog was put together to keep the ‘area’ which I was elected informed in what and how I am support them. Over time it has expanded into a local information site.
I am proud (again) to have a loyal group who pass-by regularly.

Average between 2,500 and 3,000 vistors a day –
The only Councillor who regularly posts on his own web-blog and has done so for 14+ years.

My ‘only comment at this stage, after being sent ‘some comments’ on social media, am I not surprised from the keyboard warriors.
However they may not be far off the mark, looking like ‘some’ of our councillors are “in denial” means to unconsciously refuse to accept reality or facts, often to avoid painful emotions or anxiety, over what has occured.
