Dedicated CAB @ FDC Available

Free Citizen’s Advice service available through COVID-19 Community Hub

Specialist money and employment advice to help support Fenland residents through the coronavirus pandemic and beyond is now available through Fenland District Council’s COVID-19 Community Hub.

In addition to providing day-to-day support such as access to food and prescription collections, the Hub can now refer Fenland residents directly to a dedicated Citizen’s Advice Rural Cambs advisor.
The advisor can provide free, impartial, and independent advice to help with a number of concerns including debts, benefits, Universal Credit claims, access to funding, pensions, employment and much, much more.

Just call the Hub on 01354 654321 or email: covid19@fenland.gov.uk

Fenland District Council is funding the dedicated service to ensure residents can access the support they need as soon as they need it. It will also help to prevent issues from getting worse and supports positive, longer-term outcomes.
Cllr Chris Boden, Leader of Fenland District Council, said: “I’m delighted that this dedicated Citizen’s Advice service is now available through the Council’s COVID-19 Community Hub. It’s all about helping more people get the help they need more quickly and supporting residents with longer-term solutions as part of our roadmap to recovery as lockdown eases.

“If you’re worried about money, debts, benefits or work, or if your circumstances have been affected by Covid, this service may really help you.”

Census 2021 Is Getting Nearer – Sunday March 21st 2021

Before Census Day, all households will receive a pack in the post, asking them to take part in Census 2021.

They will receive their pack from 3rd March onwards.

This information pack will direct them to the census website, where they can
complete their questionnaire.
It also contains a “household access code” which they can use as a password to log in.

The code is unique to each household and is private and secure. The pack will also provide useful information about data security and where to go for support if needed. In areas where internet usage is lower, households will receive a paper questionnaire .

Census 2021 is the first digital-first census, meaning we would like as many people
as possible to take part online. Every household will get a letter in the post with a
code which allows them to log on to the website.
These letters will be sent out from 3
March 2021 over a ten-day period.

More inforamtion as the census gets closer.
