If you are struggling to get to and from your vaccine appointment, Cambridgeshire County Council has agreed to pay for your taxi journey.
Please ensure you have booked your appointment or if it is a walk-in clinic you know the date/time is correct at your nearest centre first before you book your transport.
All you need to do is to contact the relevant taxi service below within your area and give them a call to book your transport. They will ask you to confirm details of the appointment when you book your journey. Please note that you can make arrangements for them to drop you off and pick you up (but the return journey must start within 1 hour of your appointment time).
All children need to be accompanied by their parent/carer during the journey and at the vaccination site.

We are liaising with Fascinating Fens to promote all (good, landscape-related) things ‘fenland’. Their monthly session this Friday (19th January) is a literary presentation (by zoom) inspired by the fenland landscape and environment.
Free to book, from 7pm for 7.30 start.
‘The January Fen Folks Friday features FenScapers. A new group of creative writers who share a love of the Fens, the environment and are inspired by the natural world to create short stories and poetry. They will read from their work and celebrate the launch of their first FenScapers podcast which is available for download.’

As Police and Crime Commissioner, it’s my job to set the budget for the Constabulary.
For the 2022/23 financial year, as with others, it is important to clarify that police funding comes from two main sources: 56% from central government (excluding specific grants) and the remainder from the policing part of council tax.

Many local organisations help and support those who suffer from loneliness and isolation.
Our concerns are being able to identify those in need, some are affraid of asking for help.
This evenings meeting was the first of this group to address some of the issues.
