We invitees were asked to support communities in several area’s, whether the ‘misinformation’ for ever being posted on social media to making people aware of where to obtain ‘real information’

The Last Planned Expansion of SHS
Last night myself and 5 other Whittlesey/Fenland/CCC Councillors attended a ‘ZOOM’ invitation from Sir Harry Smith Community College & Kier Construction.

Since opening in 1953, myself attending from 1962-67, there has been several expansions to the site. We are informed that after this lastest planned upgrades, the site will have reached capacity.
I concure with Cllr Boden, that this latest expansion is very welcome to our area, there will be some challenges regarding access to the site.
I also agree with Cllr Munns that there is very little engagement with outside sports groups which could use some of the excellent facilities at SHS.

Cycle Racks/Parking
After several ‘new’ cycle racks installed in the past 18 months, there is an offer for us to have some more. Already installed in some popular area’s Councillors are asking for suggestions where to place some more.
1/ Not allowed on private land.
2/ Does not inpede the highway or pathways to be an obstacle to pedestrians or those with mobility or sight issues.
Contact either your Councillor or WTC Office.
