Congratulations To Our Queen – Platinum Jubilee

I am sure we will all be celebrating on June 02nd when there are partys planned nationwide.
If you are planning something please let me know and I will advertise it.

The Prince of Wales discussed Queen Elizabeth’s history with planting trees. He said “Throughout Her reign, The Queen has officially planted more than 1,500 trees all over the world. In March, during the most recent planting season, I was delighted to have an opportunity to plant a tree with Her Majesty in the grounds of Windsor Castle to launch this very special initiative.
There is a reason for this profoundly symbolic act.
Planting a tree is a statement of hope and faith in the future.”

National Love a Tree Day falls on the 16th of May every year, so the Royal Family’s initiative has been launched at a fitting time.

Have you considered the possibility of planting a tree?

Planting a tree is simply the perfect way to remember your ancestors or celebrate friends and family.

Now, with Whittlesey Town Council you can help this happen.
Contact me or The Clerk at WTC and we can arrange this for you.
So far we have 10 trees sponsored from local individuals, we would like a lot more – please help us.

ONS – Coronavirus Latest Insights: 04/02/2022

Welcome to Friday’s coronavirus (COVID-19) latest insights, a roundup of our analysis related to the pandemic.

In the week ending 29 January 2022, the percentage of people testing positive for coronavirus increased for those in school Year 7 to school Year 11, and for those aged 35 to 49 years.

It decreased for those aged 25 to 34 years and aged 50 years and over in the same period, while trends were uncertain in all other age groups.

The percentage testing positive was highest among those aged 2 years to school Year 6.

The age-adjusted risk of death involving coronavirus (COVID-19) is consistently lower among those who have received at least three vaccines compared with unvaccinated people.

Just over 5 in 10 adults (52%) reported they were worried or somewhat worried about the effect the coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on their lives in the latest period (19 to 30 January 2022). This figure has decreased from 61% in the previous period (6 to 16 January 2022).
