A fair has been held in Whittlesey Market Place since a Royal Charter by King John.
What a beautiful morning….therapy for me was a hour litterpicking along Blackbush Drove and part of Ramsey Road a 5 mile round trip on my Mobility Truck and only ¾ of a bag of rubbish/litter. The Street Pride Crew carried on along Ramsey Road and found the usual vast amount of rubbish left mainly by motorists.
Braemar Gardens has a patchwork of repairs carried out.
The corner of Church Street was a blaze of activity this morning.
Market Street also a hive of activity, I thought I could smell Gas – however I’m told it is – Electrical ….still there at 17:00
A very productive ad-hoc meeting today with the team that are looking to engage further to support those who need help and assistance, both Social Prescribers (NQS & Jenner) attended. It hoped that the Community Hub Bus will be in attendance once a month to begin with to act as a focal point.
This morning I will be supporting Officers from Cambs CC and Fenland in engaging and promoting Loneliness and Isolation, since the Covid pandemic, many especially the elderly have had a very difficult period, through our Neighbourhood Watch Group we have supported just 5 such individuals. The problem is identifying such people and trying to help them engage with support which is here.
It nearly always goes down to being a ‘Good Neighbour’ – the way the world is today, many do not know who there immediate neighbours are…..
