TV Presenter Scammed Out of Half His Savings?
Those are the words of BBC presenter Peter Levy who was scammed out of more than half his life savings by banking fraudsters, despite conducting interviews on the topic for his BBC show.
Protect yourself and others from banking fraud by visiting our website ->

More on Peter’s story here ->
How to prevent fraud
The Take Five to Stop Fraud, external campaign is urging people to:
- Stop: Taking a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information could keep you safe
-
Challenge: Could it be fake? It is OK to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you
- Protect: Contact your bank immediately if you think you’ve fallen for a scam and report it to Action Fraud

Why Does Some Idiot Have To Spoil Things…..
Enjoyed my hour out with our StreetPride friends clearing up the usual litter and rubbish,
I am very pround to have been part of this group for over 14 years.
Over the last week the maintenance team have been out refurbishing various seating that is around the town. Lo and behold the day after the Green Wheel Seating was repainted, some ‘Idiot’ decided to graffiti it….been left alone for years…. Does anyone know this ‘Tag’

Another try at a Sunday meeting, in total 13 members attended and collected 14 bags of litter.

The next litter pick will be on Saturday 18th May – 10am – Funtams Lane – meet in McCain’s top car park.

The Never Ending Reporting of Potholes
We all know how (dangerous) and inconvienient the dreaded ‘Pothole Problem’ can be.
I regularly (weekly) report what I find on my travels.
It is very easy for ALL to report on the Cambs CC Website..
https://highwaysreporting.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/
You will be presented with a map and zoom into the area/street you wish to report.
It will ask you ‘what’ you wish to report on a drop-down list.
Best if you know the address also.
It will ask you for your name/contact no and e-mail.
It will give you the opportunity to upload a photograph.
Here is a small selection of what I’ve reported this week…..
(Please I ask you not to send them to me – I am busy enough and as said – so easy to report youselves) + I would only deal with issues within my own Ward (Whittlesey South). Thanks…

Naturally the final one is for fun only….
