I am really pleased to have been re-elected as your Police and Crime Commissioner and thank you to everyone who voted for me. I am committed to representing everyone living and working in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and look forward to working with partners to cut crime, support victims and keep all our communities safe.

This month’s highlights include presenting an award to one of Anglia Ruskin University’s Graphic Designs students who has created an exciting new logo for my office, supporting Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s recent countywide knife amnesty and highlighting available support for all victims of crime through my Victim and Witness Hub.

Ex Cllr Martin Curtis Plans To Return….

Martin and I met today for an exchange of idea’s and his views and his vision for the future of Whittlesey & Fenland Council(s), we agreed to disagree on a number of points which is usual for two people from slightly differing angles.
Martin is planning to stand for election at the forthcoming By-Election as an Independent Candidate

I’ve also had conversations with Peter Bibb, who is also planning to stand at the same election. Peter stood recently at the St Andrews By-Election and took a very credible 40% of the votes. Peter is also passionate about the future of Whittlesey and its way forward.
Below Peters election leaflet.

I understand Mr Owen Barrett is planning to stand on behalf of the Conservative Party.

Cllr Kay Mayor Resigns from WTC & FDC

Earlier this evening Kay Mayor a very long term Councillor at Whittlesey Town and Fenland District Councils, has decided to resign her role, for personal reasons.
Kay has been my fellow Councillor here in Whittlesey South since last May, and we have worked very well together as a ‘team’ for the ward as a whole.

I am sorry to see her go at this time but fully understand the circumstances.

This will trigger a By-Election for the Ward Whittlesey South. More news on that later.
