The Whittlesey Festival – 8th September another event for our Town for all to enjoy.
Supported by Fenland District Council, with a donation from Whittlesey Town Council,
organised and run mainly by again Volunteers.
Access into the Manor Field from Aliwal Road was becoming somewhat challenging, simple contact with FDC’s Parks & Leisure and all sorted thank you….
And After
So the question should be – and I will be asking – ‘Is there an Oil Spill contingency plan’ – It appears NO. I save any further comments as I am not fully aware of the ‘facts’ surrounding Fridays Oil Spill along Market Street….One resident is asking who foots the costs?
At long last Syers Lane (The Whittlesey Bypass) has been relined.
Today I took up my role as one of the Safety Volunteers at Music On The Square – for 6 hours. Sponsored by Whittlesey Town Council – I estimate around 500 very happy residents enjoyed MOTS (Next one August).
A quick run down to the Manor – McCains Family Event, again with Live Music and lots of Rides…..
Then there was Cricket.
Then at the New Crown more Live Music.
I like some have issues with Microsoft at present – so posts will be shorter whilst using a backup system.

Music on The Square – This Sunday – Market Place Whittlesey. Starts @ 2pm and closes at 6pm

Irrespective of the outcome(s) for the Mega Incinerator planned for Wisbech – this may and could have serious implications for us here in Whittlesey, namely the possibility of the end waste (Incinerator Bottom Ash – IBA) coming to Whittlesey for processing –
Note —– I have said may/could/possibility…..
It has been suggested they ‘we’ need to start talking liaising with MWV in the near future.
I will be asking other Councillors for their thoughts….
Myself and Cllr Eamonn Dorling have now ‘clocked’ several hundreds of hours on this wonderful Town Council project – very much ongoing with help from our small group of volunteers.
