I sat in as a ‘member of the public’ as I often do at last night’s F&P meeting.
This committee discuses and formulates Whittlesey Town Council’s future financing and funding throughout the year. It also recommends this to the full council.
I was there to ‘Lobby’ again for some much better information to our residents in respect of ‘North Bank & B1040’ Flooding and Road Closures.
As I have posted on many occasions – what we have is Not Fit For Purpose –

I asked whether the F&P could scope in for the following year costings for 3 x ‘Inter-Active’ signs – electronically controlled by the Environment Agency.
Cllr Mrs Laws, is also lobbying for this to happen and exploring other avenues.
Chairman of the F&P Cllr Boden, although as usual warm to the suggestion – stated that there was a ‘better chance’ this being included in The Kings Dyke Bridge Project’ !!!!
How much longer do we have to wait – The KD project (If/When) it happens is some way off – and ‘another’ maybe – these signages will be included – Sorry I don’t agree and will continue to argue the case.
