Manor Leisure Centre – More Questions Than Answers

The October report does not provide all the answers.
Instead, it sets out the scale of the challenge facing councillors.

When councillors eventually make their decision, they will not simply be deciding the future of a swimming pool and leisure centre.
They will be deciding how much financial risk Fenland Council is prepared to take in pursuit of the future it wants for Whittlesey.

Ultimately more information is forthcoming – hopefully December this year.
All the facts and figures will go to Fenland District Councils ‘Cabinet’ for them to make a proposal to the full council.

A lot depends on simple figures and finances…..
‘Value For Money’ (Benefit to Cost ratio), this can include things like ‘Well-being’ and Exercise…..

As one of the Ward Councillors covering the Manor area, I have been actively involved during all stages and consultations.
I am NOT to sole decision maker.

I could ask – you to question one or more of our other Councillors – to see how they have been involved in such a ‘major’ project for our town – A Once In A Lifetime – Opportunity.
