Poundland and Poundstretcher are separate companies with different owners.

  • Poundland: This chain is owned by the private equity firm Gordon Brothers. It runs about 600 stores across the UK.
  • Poundstretcher: This chain is owned by Fortress Investment Group. It operates more than 300 stores.
